Our Bakery Managers are hands-on leaders who mix creativity with management know-how, ensuring every pastry and pie meets Uncle G’s gourmet standards.

The Bench role strengthens our overall leadership team by supporting store coverage, vacations, leaves of absence, special projects and future store openings.

What You’ll Be Doing

1. Oversee all aspects of daily bakery operations — from mixing batter to managing bakers.
2. Keep the bakery fully stocked with the best quality ingredients and supplies.
3. Ensure all equipment, tools, and utensils are clean, sanitized, and ready for action.
4. Hire, train, and schedule your bakery team.
5. Coach and inspire staff to produce high-quality baked goods with consistency and care.
6. Follow merchandising plans to showcase bakery items beautifully and boost sales.
7. Maintain top-tier presentation, uniformity, and freshness across all baked goods.
8. Ensure customer satisfaction and handle any issues with professionalism and warmth.
9. Keep food safety and sanitation standards at the heart of every recipe and routine.

What You Bring to the Table

1. High school diploma or GED (Baking/Pastry program a plus!)
2. Proven experience managing a bakery in a fast-paced retail environment
3. Solid knowledge of baking techniques for cakes, cookies, pies, tarts, and pastries
4. Food handler’s license preferred
5. Excellent communication, leadership, and customer service skills
6. Strong problem-solving abilities and the ability to perform under pressure
7. Proficiency in English (reading, speaking, and understanding)
