Locksmith- Facilities- Full Time

About the Role

The Locksmith is responsible for performing preventative, routine and emergency maintenance on the building’s lock systems.

Position Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance on gaming equipment locks as well as repair doors and frames, electronic, manual or revolving, and repairs safes
• Oversees work on gaming table locks, slot machine locks, and/or anything pertaining to lock maintenance
• Performs preventative, routine and emergency maintenance on building’s lock systems

• Maintains key control system, equipment and materials as required by the Lock Control Committee procedures
• Reports all conditions contrary to good security practice to include authorized key duplication solicitation
• Performs other related carpentry duties as assigned
• Ensures that all work is completed and of superior craftsmanship
• Removes debris caused by work completed

• Maintains proper care and storage of tools and equipment
• Works closely with Lead to coordinate an efficient and safe work environment
• Maintains confidentiality of all Ocean Casino Resort proprietary information

Essential Functions

• High degrees of mobility to enable person to respond to any type of emergency or service call
• Ability to effectively communicate by way of 2-way radio or pager system
• Physical ability and skill to use normal tools and equipment associated with the trade
• Exposure to casino related environmental factors, including but not limited to, secondhand smoke, excessive noise and stress related to servicing customers in a fast paced environment

• Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and flexible shifts/hours
• Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 75 pounds

Requirements

• Five (5) years’ experience as a locksmith plus cabinetry, electrical, and carpentry skills

• Must demonstrate good verbal and interpersonal communication skills
• Blueprint and schematic reading skills required
• Ability to effectively communicate in English
