The Package Handler is responsible for receiving, logging, organizing, and distributing incoming packages within the property, ensuring accurate tracking, proper storage, and timely delivery to residents. This role requires strong attention to detail, reliability, and a customer-service-oriented attitude to maintain organized and efficient package management operations. Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sorting Packages: Sort packages based on their apartment number on the building system to ensure accurate placement for delivery to residents
- Handing Packages Safely: Handle packages of varying sizes and weights, adhering to safety standards to prevent damage to goods or injuries to self and others
- Label Verification: Inspect and verify labels and barcodes to ensure accuracy in shipping and destination information
- Maintaining Workspace: Keep workspace clean, organized, and safe by following cleanliness and safety protocols
- Operating Equipment: Use material-handling equipment, safely and effectively as required
- Team Collaboration: Coordinate with team members to streamline workflow and resolve any operational challenges
- Reporting Issues: Report any package damage, delays, or operational concerns to the supervisor promptly for resolution
- Compliance with Policies: Follow all company policies, including safety regulations, confidentiality requirements, and quality standards
