Senior Payroll Accountant
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Senior Payroll Accountant in Secaucus, NJ. Essential Functions:
- Process and oversee multi-state payroll using ADP, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness
- Prepare and post payroll-related journal entries, including accruals, reconciliations, and adjustments
- Support monthly close activities, including payroll reconciliations and variance analysis
- Review employee compensation agreements, bonus plans, and incentive structures
- Calculate complex compensation and bonus arrangements, ensuring alignment with contractual terms and company policy
- Partner with HR, Finance, and Legal teams to resolve payroll and compensation-related issues
- Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation to support audits and regulatory requirements
- Develop and enhance payroll reporting and analytics using advanced Excel
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls, and efficiencies
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- Strong, hands-on ADP payroll experience
- Journal entries
- Payroll reconciliations
- Monthly close support
- Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, and data analysis
- Proven experience reviewing compensation agreements and calculating complex compensation or bonus arrangements
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
