Regional Director Business Development

About the Role As the Area Director of Business Development, you'll develop and implement strategies to attract qualified, non-paid professional referrals and enhance our presence in the market. You'll also collaborate with local paid referral partners to generate leads and move-ins. Your expertise will be instrumental in mentoring and coaching community sales teams to ensure continued success. This is a dynamic, people-focused role where you'll be working closely with hospital networks, physicians, professional associations, and community organizations to expand our reach and connect seniors with the high-quality care they deserve. What You'll Do Build and maintain strong relationships with healthcare professionals, referral sources, and community partners to generate a steady pipeline of qualified leads.
Lead business development strategies that support independent living, assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing services.
Provide coaching and mentorship to community sales teams, helping them refine outreach techniques and maximize professional referrals.
Identify and develop new referral sources while maintaining relationships with existing partners.
Represent our communities at industry events, trade shows, and networking opportunities to enhance brand awareness.
Collaborate with Executive Directors and Directors of Sales to align strategies with market needs and drive occupancy growth.
Organize and participate in professional events, educational presentations, and community engagement initiatives.
Monitor referral and census activity, providing detailed reports and insights to leadership.
Stay informed on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and strategic alignment. What You Bring Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) preferred.
3-5 years of experience in consultative business-to-business sales, preferably within the senior living or healthcare industry.
A proven track record in account management, business development, and relationship building.
Strong communication skills with the ability to conduct presentations and facilitate discussions.
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
Tech-savvy, with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and CRM systems.
