General Laborer

Staff Management Group is seeking a General Laborer for our client in Edison, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 8AM - 8PM
• Monday - Friday

Pay Rate:

• $15.92 / hour

Job Summary:

We are seeking dependable and hardworking General Laborers to support warehouse operations. This role involves handling flowers, assisting with basic arrangement preparation, and supporting loading and unloading activities in a fast-paced, temperature-controlled environment.

General Laborers will be responsible for handling floral products, assisting in putting together flower arrangements, and supporting warehouse operations such as loading, unloading, and organizing shipments. This position requires working in a cold environment to maintain product freshness and quality. Attention to detail and teamwork are essential to meet daily production goals.

Job Responsibilities:

• Handle flowers with care to maintain quality and freshness
• Assist in assembling and preparing flower arrangements
• Load and unload trucks efficiently
• Sort, move, and stage products for distribution
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area
• Follow all safety procedures and company guidelines
• Work collaboratively to meet daily productivity targets

Job Requirements:

• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods
• Must be able to lift, carry, push, and pull items weighing between 25–50 pounds consistently
• Ability to perform physical tasks including standing, bending, and repetitive movements
• Strong attention to detail, especially when handling delicate floral products
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a fast-paced team environment
