Job Scope:
The Sr. Global Product Manager is responsible for managing a global portfolio of equipment and reagents supporting Biologics Discovery. This role plays a critical part in shaping GenScript's global catalog strategy by translating unmet customer needs into scalable, commercially successful products across drug discovery workflows.
Reporting to: Director of Global Product Management, Gene & Protein Lab Essentials
Location: US Remote (New Jersey preferred)
The estimated salary range is $85,000 - $125,000, based on experience level.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end NPI programs for catalog products and instruments, from concept definition and business case development through validation and global launch
- Drive Voice-of-Customer (VoC) initiatives and market research to identify unmet needs, define product requirements, and develop differentiated launch positioning and strategies
- Own full product lifecycle management, including P&L accountability, portfolio performance analysis, product roadmap and strategy, pricing review, and margin optimization
- Partner with R&D and Production teams to build new capabilities, resolve technical or operational issues, and continuously enhance existing offerings based on customer feedback and market insights
- Collaborate closely with Marketing to develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies and create effective marketing and sales collateral
- Enable global commercial teams with product training, sales tools, and ongoing on-market support to drive adoption and revenue growth
- Travel to global manufacturing and R&D sites, particularly during the initial phase of the role, to gain hands-on understanding of production capabilities, processes, and constraints
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in life sciences or related discipline is required
- Master of Science or PhD degrees in life sciences preferred; MBA is a plus
- 5-7 years' experience in Product Management roles in the life sciences industry
- Experience in drug discovery, antibody discovery, or pharmaceutical R&D environments (Pharma, Biotech, or CRO) is strongly preferred.
- Proven track record leading successful NPI projects and developing business cases
- Strong experience conducting VoC and market research
- Preferred knowledge of gene to protein market
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills are required
- Preferred Mandarin Chinese proficiency
