Assistant Project Manager - Construction
We're seeking experienced Assistant Project Managers to join a well-established and rapidly growing specialty general contractor based in Union, NJ. This is a high-impact, high-visibility role for APMs ready to contribute to a fast-paced, high-volume commercial construction environment.

Description
Project Management: Assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and managing commercial interior fit-out projects, primarily for financial institutions
Documentation: Handle project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and schedules using Procore
Schedule Management: Support field operations, ensuring that projects remain on schedule and within budget
Team Leadership: Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to manage fast-paced projects averaging $500K
Quality Control: Ensure timely project close-outs, quality assurance, and compliance with safety standards
Profile
Has at least 2 years of experience in commercial construction, with a strong understanding of the Assistant Project Manager role
Is currently working as an APM for a general contractor-this is not an entry-level position
Brings a solid command of Procore project management software
Thrives in a fast-moving, high-volume environment with quick project turnarounds
Is organized, communicative, and comfortable handling multiple projects at once
