The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

Assists licensed nursing staff in patient care and nursing procedures. Functions as part of the hemodialysis team to provide safe and effective dialysis therapy in accordance with established policies and procedures, and operates dialysis equipment under the direct supervision of licensed personnel.

Qualifications:

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Previous dialysis experience

Certifications and Licenses Required:

• Successful completion of Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) exam, offered by Board of Nephrology Examiners Nursing and Technology (BONENT) or Nephrology Nursing Certification Organization (NNCO)
• Successful completion of Ishihara Color Blindness test

Essential Functions:

• Identifies and communicates patient’s needs to registered nurse.
• Uses understanding of the principles of growth and development to meet each patient s age specific needs and provide age specific treatment and care.
• Ordering supplies, picking up supplies from loading dock, weekly inventory and monthly close out.
• Ensure that the patient care area is stocked.
