Physical Therapist - Travel Contract
Looking for a change of scenery and a chance to help others. Join a traveling Physical Therapist role in Mullica Hill, NJ at an outpatient clinic where you will help patients recover from injuries and manage chronic conditions while experiencing life in a new location. This role focuses on orthopedic caseloads, 60-minute evaluations and treatment, and providing patient-centered functional treatment programs. Evaluates patients, develops and modifies treatment plans according to patient needs and physician direction. Provides delegation and direction of discipline-specific therapy services and serves as an educator for patients, families, students and coworkers. Completes timely, accurate medical record documentation and adheres to clinic, state and federal guidelines. Maintains professional licensure and practices in accordance with the State Practice Act. Demonstrates safety awareness and participates in performance improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor‘s, Master‘s or Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program approved by the APTA.
- Active New Jersey state PT license required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience in outpatient orthopedic practice preferred.
- Experience performing 60-minute evaluations and treatments preferred.
- Ability to document using electronic medical records and complete letters of medical necessity.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior experience supervising students and participating in clinical education.
- Familiarity with performance improvement processes and regulatory compliance.
- Experience with safe patient handling and materials handling protocols.
Assignment Details
- Schedule: 5x8 staffing pattern.
- Flexible full-time hours, up to 40 hours per week with 1–2 evenings until 7 PM.
- Orthopedic outpatient caseload with 60-minute initial evaluations.
