Survey Crew Chief – Central New Jersey
A well-established civil engineering and land development firm in Central NJ is seeking an experienced Survey Crew Chief to lead field operations on a variety of commercial, residential, and municipal projects. This is a great opportunity to join a stable, growing team with a strong project pipeline.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage survey crews in the field for boundary, topographic, and construction layout surveys
- Operate total stations, GPS, and data collectors with a high level of accuracy
- Interpret plans, plats, and construction documents
- Ensure quality control and adherence to project specifications
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and office staff
- Maintain equipment and field notes in an organized manner
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of field survey experience, with leadership responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of land surveying principles and practices
- Experience with GPS and robotic instrumentation
- Ability to read and interpret engineering plans
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Valid driver’s license
