Our Summer Internship Program
An internship with us gives you the opportunity to work side by side with passionate problem solvers on powerful and fulfilling work. Our collaborative culture inspires you to learn from the expertise surrounding you and to share your own knowledge and experience with colleagues. JOB SUMMARY
The Compliance and Ethics intern will assist the Syneos Compliance and Ethics team in ensuring that the Company adheres to the highest standards of ethical conduct and regulatory compliance. The intern will learn about the various aspects of compliance and ethics in the life sciences industry, such as policies, procedures, training, audits, investigations, and reporting. The intern will also participate in various projects and initiatives related to compliance and ethics, such as risk assessments, compliance reviews, and awareness campaigns. The intern will gain valuable experience and skills in the field of compliance and ethics, as well as exposure to the pharmaceutical and medical device industries and stakeholders.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support the compliance and ethics team in developing, implementing, and maintaining the Syneos Compliance and Ethics program.
- Assist in conducting research and analysis on compliance and ethics topics, such as laws, regulations, industry codes, best practices, and emerging trends.
- Help in creating and updating compliance and ethics policies, procedures, guidelines, and tools.
- Contribute to the design and delivery of compliance and ethics training and communication materials.
- Participate in compliance and ethics audits, assessments, and reviews, and document the findings and recommendations.
- Support the compliance and ethics team in conducting and resolving investigations and inquiries related to potential or actual compliance and ethics issues.
- Prepare and maintain compliance and ethics reports, records, and documentation as directed by Compliance and Ethics leadership.
- Collaborate with other departments and functions to promote a culture of compliance and ethics across the organization.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program in law, business, ethics, compliance, or a related field.
- Strong interest and curiosity in compliance and ethics, and the pharmaceutical industry.
- Demonstrate high standards of conduct and ethics as well as appropriate judgment, independence, and discretion.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with different audiences and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to research and synthesize complex information.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and quality.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and eager to learn and contribute.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and familiar with online research tools and databases.
Candidates must be a minimum of a Rising Junior and currently enrolled full time in Spring/Summer or Spring/Fall ’26 semesters. The Commercial Summer Intern Program runs from May 18, 2026 to August7 , 2026 and all positions will work full time (up to 40 hours per week).
The anticipated hourly rate for this position is $24-$28/hr. and will vary based on the candidate’s semesters completed in school.
