​​​​​​​Electrical Estimator, Staff Level
You price work that wins. You turn plans into clear, accurate numbers. You team up with PMs, clients, vendors, and the field to keep bids sharp and clean.
What youâll do
- Perform detailed takeoffs and build clear, accurate estimates for mid-size projects.
- Write scope letters and support proposal prep, no fluff and no gaps.
- Review plans, specs, and addenda, then make sure scopes are fully covered.
- Track material quotes, labor units, and market moves, then price with intent.
- Assist with bid reviews, hit deadlines, and keep quality tight.
- Coordinate RFIs with PMs and clients to solve issues early.
- Contribute to the estimating database and keep your takeoff files organized.
- Provide early budgets using historical data and simple ratios.
- Join pre-bid walks and client meetings, local and regional travel as needed.
- Use Excel, AccuBid, and Word all day, every day.
Who you are

- Detail focused, organized, and consistent. You close loops.
- Strong electrical knowledge, with working knowledge of other trades.
- Solid with value engineering, you look for savings without risk.
- Comfortable applying the National Electrical Code, building codes, and OSHA rules.
- Active with clients and vendor reps, you build trust fast.
Experience
- 5+ years in electrical contracting or construction.
- 4+ years in electrical estimating.
- No management duties required
- Microsoft Office and AccuBid proficient.
