About the Role:
As a Server, you will play a crucial role in delivering an exceptional dining experience to our guests by providing attentive, friendly, and efficient service. Your primary objective is to ensure customer satisfaction by accurately taking orders, serving food and beverages, and addressing any guest needs or concerns promptly. You will collaborate closely with kitchen and bar staff to coordinate timely and accurate order delivery. Maintaining a clean and organized dining environment will also be part of your responsibilities to uphold our establishment's standards. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a welcoming atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth recommendations.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in a customer service or food service role preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during shifts.
- Basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Strong communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
Experience:
- 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) systems.
- Ability to multitask effectively while maintaining attention to detail.
- Bilingual language skills to assist a diverse customer base.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and seat guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Present menus, explain daily specials, and answer questions regarding menu items and ingredients.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders and enter them into the point-of-sale system.
- Serve food and drinks promptly while ensuring order accuracy and presentation standards.
- Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and address any additional requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth and timely service.
- Handle guest payments and provide accurate change or process electronic transactions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area, including tables, chairs, and service stations.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Skills:
The required skills such as strong communication and basic math are essential for accurately taking orders, interacting with guests, and processing payments efficiently. Customer service skills are used daily to create a welcoming environment and to handle guest inquiries or concerns with professionalism and empathy. Preferred skills like familiarity with POS systems and multitasking enable the server to manage multiple tables and orders simultaneously without compromising service quality. Knowledge of food safety ensures compliance with health regulations, contributing to a safe dining experience. Bilingual abilities enhance communication with a broader range of guests, improving overall service inclusivity and satisfaction.
