Senior Grant Accountant

This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about financial accuracy and thrives in a dynamic environment. You will contribute to essential accounting operations, including reconciliations, reporting, and budget preparation. Responsibilities: - Prepare and record journal entries for monthly and annual financial close processes, including allocations, recurring entries, and adjustments. - Conduct thorough balance sheet reconciliations and address discrepancies promptly. - Compile and validate cost reports to ensure accuracy and completeness. - Generate and submit invoices monthly in alignment with contractual requirements. - Assist in developing and preparing annual budgets as well as budgets for specific projects. - Review and confirm the accuracy of bank account reconciliations. - Provide schedules and documentation to support the year-end audit process. - Participate in special projects and handle ad hoc tasks assigned by management. Requirements - Proven experience with non-profit accounting practices. - Proficiency in using Sage Intacct or similar accounting software. - Strong understanding of general accounting principles and financial reporting. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively. - Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities. - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. - Prior experience working in a non-profit organization is highly desirable.
