Job Title: Civil Engineer

Job Description

As a Civil Engineer, you will design telecom sites from conception to construction, including layout creation, antenna mount design, and site plan approval. You will be responsible for developing and reviewing construction drawings, specifications, and detailing for both new and existing cell sites. Performing site inspections and condition assessments on existing sites and preparing comprehensive reports will be part of your duties. You will also lead and train junior engineers and CAD designers, prepare sketches, and perform drafting using AutoCAD, designing clearances in AutoCAD for site layouts.

Responsibilities

• Design telecom sites from conception to construction.
• Create layouts and antenna mount designs.
• Develop and review construction drawings and specifications.
• Perform site inspections and condition assessments.
• Prepare detailed reports based on site inspections.
• Lead and train junior engineers and CAD designers.
• Prepare sketches and perform drafting using AutoCAD.
• Design clearances in AutoCAD for site layouts.

Essential Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a minimum of 4 years’ experience, or 8 years of telecom design experience without a degree.
• 4 years experience within site layout design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, specifically in designing clearances for new build site layouts.
• Experience with new site development.
• Knowledge of construction drawing standards.
• Proven managerial experience leading and motivating junior engineers.
• Ability to perform visual and instrument-based site inspections.
• Strong data recording and report writing skills.
• Ability to drive and safely operate a motor vehicle.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in land development and telecom design.
• Proficiency in MicroStation.
• Ability to travel to NJ & NY as required.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bridgewater, NJ.

The pay range for this position is $48.07 - $57.70/hr.

This is a hybrid position in Bridgewater,NJ.
