We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to provide expert support and guidance to all staff, in accordance with all applicable state and federal laws and company policies. This individual will be solely responsible for all aspects of human resource management for the entire organization, as further outlined below. The successful candidate will be a highly organized and self-directed professional who proactively manages time and consistently achieves deadlines with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

· Support the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, performance, retention, and offboarding.

· Partner with key leadership personnel and provide expert consultation on matters regarding performance improvement, grievances, policy administration, and other employee relations concerns.

· Serve as primary point of contact for all employee inquiries and concerns, including but not limited to policies, payroll, benefits, PTO, leaves of absence, employment verification requests, etc.

· Offer strategic planning regarding staffing needs, post job advertisements, conduct active sourcing, conduct phone screens and both virtual and in-person interviews, coordinate additional interview scheduling, and candidate communications.

· Conduct reference checks, background verifications, and I9/E-verify procedures.

· Process biweekly payroll using isolved system, prepare related reports, and maintain records in accordance with federal, state, and company policies.

· Administer wage garnishments, deductions, PTO tracking/monitoring, and special payments.

· Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws and assist with payroll audits.

· Responsible for all data management, including both physical and digital records, and updating employee records in HRIS systems.

· Oversee annual benefits open enrollment and general administration of benefits throughout the year, including enrollments, changes, invoice auditing, COBRA requests, payroll deductions, reporting, and all related employee communications.

· Administer leaves of absence in accordance with federal, state, and company policies.

· Initiate worker's compensation claims, ensuring proper documentation and filings.

· Partner with leadership on HR initiatives, including compliance, staffing and policy development.

Requirements

· Must have experience with recruiting, payroll, benefits, compliance, performance management, employee relations, and policy development/administration.

· Possess a minimum of 5 years of experience in a Generalist role, or multiple human resource roles with cumulative diverse responsibilities.

· Experience serving as the sole HR representative for a small to mid-size business, strongly preferred.

· Related education and/or SPHR certification, preferred.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Excellent problem solving skills and pragmatic approach to addressing employee relations.

· Ability to maintain positive working relationships, communication, and collaboration with management, employees, partners and vendors.

· Strong organization skills and ability to work independently, with timely completion of tasks and achievement of timeline goals.

· Strong Microsoft Office skills required. Experience using isolved People Cloud HRIS a plus.
