Job Description

As an Automotive Body Shop Estimator, you will play a key role in delivering excellent customer service by accurately assessing vehicle damage and preparing detailed repair estimates. You will guide customers through the repair process, maintain communication with insurance companies, and oversee the workflow to ensure quality repairs.

Primary Responsibilities

• Greet customers and assess their needs with empathy and understanding.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate with customers and Body Shop Technicians to identify necessary repairs.
• Prepare accurate estimates for labor and parts in accordance with insurance company guidelines.
• Enter itemized estimates into repair orders and clearly explain them to customers.
• Maintain organized workload and manage dispatching tasks.
• Communicate regularly with customers to provide updates throughout the repair process.
• Perform quality control checks on vehicles before delivery.
• Maintain customer satisfaction scores at or above established standards.
• Adhere to insurance policies and procedures related to estimations and repairs.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support the Body Shop operations.

Job Requirements:

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license.
• Positive attitude with strong attention to detail.
• Excellent phone and interpersonal communication skills.
• Basic computer and organizational skills.
• Body Shop experience is preferred but not required; on-the-job training provided.
• Estimator experience is a plus.
