About the Role:
We're looking for an exceptionally self-motivated, intellectually curious, and detail-oriented Scientist on the Research/Biologics Team with broad knowledge in molecular biology and cell biology to help us expand what's possible for patients with serious and rare diseases. Reporting to the Senior Director of Research, you'll be involved in developing and screening novel AAV gene therapies to support Insmed's growing AAV gene therapies pipeline. You will collaborate closely with peers across the research organization to bring therapies to patients in need.

What You'll Do:

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to support Insmed's early-stage research pipeline, turning ideas into groundbreaking medicines. You'll also:

• Collaborate with peers within AAV gene therapies and broader research teams to evaluate AAV gene therapy candidate properties and function

• Participate in designing and producing novel AAV gene therapies candidates

• Develop cell-based biological assays

• Author and review protocols, electronic notebook entries, technical reports, and scientific publications

• Maintain proper documentation of experimental procedures and results

Who You Are:

• Ph.D. degree in L ife S ciences discipline ( must be conferred by June 2026 )

• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience in molecular biology

• Expert knowledge and hands-on experience with in vitro assay development

• Experience working with AAV

• Entrepreneurial spirit, proactive problem-solving attitude and strong willingness to take on new challenges

• E xceptionally self-motivated and independent

• Excellent organizational and communication skills

Nice to have (but not required ):

• Knowledge of immunology

• Hands-on e xperience with flow cytometry

• Hands-on e xperience with in vivo work

• Experie nce designing and evaluating AAV gene therapies

• Experience designing and executing library - based expression screen s

Where You'll Work

This role is based out of our Bridgewater office and requires full-time, in-person presence to support hands-on collaboration, access specialized equipment, and/or operational needs.

Pay Range:
$103,000.00-131,000.00 Annual
