Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist

Location: Red Bank, NJ 07701

Schedule: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM, varied 10-hour shifts (including overnights as needed)

Duration: 3+ Months

Pay: $55/hr (local) | $64/hr (travel)

• Perform portable ultrasound exams across assigned areas.

• Carry out complex diagnostic ultrasound procedures using high-frequency sound waves to detect anatomical abnormalities (masses, abscesses, stones, etc.).

• Assist physicians with biopsies, deep abdominal studies, and color-flow ultrasound when required.

• Prepare medical supplies, instruments, and equipment for procedures.

• Explain and prepare patients for diagnostic procedures; position patients appropriately for accurate imaging.

• Evaluate the technical quality of images and process images according to standards.

• Maintain ultrasound records, archive/de-archive data, and document results in patient charts.

• Clean, calibrate, and perform routine maintenance of ultrasound equipment.

• Ensure instruments, supplies, and equipment are cleaned, sterilized, and properly stocked.

• Provide technical guidance to students, employees, and medical residents.

• Adhere to safety policies, infection control, and departmental standards.

• Support patient-centered care by identifying and accommodating patient-specific needs (age, culture, language, disabilities, etc.).

• Work scheduled shifts, including weekends/holidays; participate in on-call rotations and overtime as needed.

• Meet organizational competencies including attendance, punctuality, and professional behavior standards.

• Minimum 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience (hospital setting preferred).

• Proficiency in routine and vascular studies.

• Strong knowledge of ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance.

• Familiarity with cross-sectional anatomy, physiology, and emergency care procedures.

• Ability to lift 25 lbs., push/pull 50 lbs., and stand for extended periods.

• Maintains CEU credits in compliance with professional standards.

• BLS (AHA)

• Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS)
