Entry Level Service Technician

Job Title: Entry-Level Service Technician
Location: Hackettstown, NJ
Pay Rate: $19 to $21 per hour (based on experience)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: Full-Time, Day Shift, Monday to Friday

Overview:
We are seeking an Entry-Level Service Technician to assist in maintaining, repairing, and calibrating laboratory equipment. This role is ideal for someone mechanically or electronically inclined who is looking to gain hands-on industry experience. Full training is provided.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic maintenance and calibration of laboratory instruments

• Support senior technicians with diagnostics and part replacements

• Use basic tools and electronic testing equipment, such as multimeters

• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for documentation and testing

• Provide email and phone support for technical issues

• Maintain clean and organized workspaces in compliance with safety standards

Requirements:

• High school diploma or associate degree preferred

• Interest in electronics, mechanical systems, or lab equipment

• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel

• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions

• Willingness to learn and work in a team environment

Preferred Qualifications (Not Required):

• Hands-on experience or coursework in electronics or lab tech

• Previous experience in manufacturing, quality control, or equipment repair

• Familiarity with basic test equipment such as voltmeters, oscilloscopes, or multimeters
