Job Description
The Sterile Processing Technician is responsible for the decontamination, cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and medical equipment within the Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). This role is critical to maintaining patient safety, infection control standards, and efficient surgical operations.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of a Sterile Processing Technician program preferred
Minimum 1 year experience in sterile processing, preferably in an ASC or hospital setting
Certifications
CRCST (Certified Registered Central Service Technician) preferred or required within [X] months of hire
BLS certification
