Sr. Data Analyst

JOB DESCRIPTION:
- We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Analyst to lead key components of a strategic enterprise migration from Alteryx to Tableau and Power BI. This role is critical in transforming legacy reporting processes, modernizing data workflows, and designing scalable reporting architecture that supports long‑term business intelligence needs.
- The ideal candidate brings advanced expertise in Alteryx, deep proficiency in Tableau and Power BI, and the ability to think strategically and creatively when translating complex workflows into modern, efficient reporting solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead major work streams within the Alteryx → Tableau/Power BI migration initiative.
- Analyze, assess, and deconstruct complex Alteryx workflows to redesign them for modern BI environments.
- Re‑engineer transformation logic, data flows, and workflow structures for performance and maintainability.
- Architect scalable reporting solutions and visualization frameworks that support enterprise‑level reporting needs.
- Oversee dashboard creation in Tableau and Power BI, ensuring dashboards meet functional requirements, usability standards, and visual best practices.
- Define and implement KPIs, reporting templates, and reusable BI components.
- Ensure accurate data movement, transformation logic, and governance standards throughout migration.
- Identify opportunities to streamline data preparation, automate processes, and reduce manual effort.
- Partner with governance, data engineering, and business teams to establish reporting standards and future‑state architecture.
- Work closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements, prioritize deliverables, and ensure alignment with broader BI strategy.
- Drive innovative thinking, focusing not just on tool replication but on improving reporting capabilities and user experience.
Requirements
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field 6+ years of experience in data analytics, business intelligence, or reporting.
- Advanced expertise in Alteryx, including workflow design, optimization, automation, and troubleshooting.
- Strong proficiency in Tableau and Power BI, including data modeling, calculations, and dashboard design.
- Deep understanding of reporting frameworks, KPI design, and data visualization best practices.
- Hands-on experience leading or significantly contributing to BI/reporting migration or modernization projects.
- Strong understanding of data flows, system integration, and how information moves across business functions.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and architect scalable reporting solutions.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATION:
- Experience defining or contributing to BI governance frameworks.
- Advanced SQL skills for data extraction, transformation, and validation.
- Prior experience mentoring or leading analytics teams.
- Familiarity with enterprise data architecture, metadata management, and data modeling concepts.
