Job Description
- Route the movement of incoming and outgoing freight shipments in a chemical warehousing environment to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
- Monitor all deliveries and shipments, proactively addressing issues to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Prepare, review, and arrange all shipping and receiving documents, ensuring accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Maintain accurate logs and records of transportation activities, shipments, and goods movement.
- Verify that all outgoing shipments include proper labeling and documentation and that appropriate transportation methods are used, especially for hazardous materials.
- Ensure compliance with DOT, IATA, IMDG, and other hazardous materials transportation regulations.
- Safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment upon certification, including frequent forklift operation in an open warehouse environment.
- 1st shift: Monday - Thursday, 6:30am - 5:00pm
- Will train 7:30am - 5:00pm, Mon - Fri for approx. 90 days
Qualifications:
- Minimum 4 years of experience in a cross-functional shipping, receiving, or logistics role.
- Previous experience in chemical manufacturing, with exposure to coatings and adhesives, preferred but not required.
- Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of data and records with strong attention to detail.
- Minimum 5 years of experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Outlook, and Word.
- Minimum 2 years of experience using SAP.
- Minimum 3 years experience operating sit-down forklift
- Proven ability to perform basic math calculations, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cinnaminson, NJ.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $24.00 - $25.00/hr.
