Forklift Operator / Material Handler Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive Hourly Rate (Based on Experience) + Growth Opportunities

Position Overview An established and growing logistics facility is seeking a dependable Forklift Operator / Material Handler. This role is essential for maintaining smooth warehouse operations, ensuring accurate inventory movement, and supporting overall supply chain efficiency. This position offers stable hours, a clear path for professional advancement, and skill development within a safety-first environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial vehicles to move, stack, and stage materials.

• Shipping & Receiving: Load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks, trailers, and shipping containers.

• Order Fulfillment: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders using scan guns, digital manifests, or pick sheets.

• Inventory Control: Verify product counts, check labels for accuracy, and document inventory movement within the warehouse management system.

• Facility Maintenance: Maintain organized, clean, and hazard-free aisles and workstations to maximize operational efficiency.

• Safety Compliance: Conduct daily pre-shift equipment inspections, report maintenance needs, and strictly adhere to all OSHA regulations and facility safety protocols.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Prior experience operating forklifts or working in a warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing environment.

• Valid forklift certification, or the ability to successfully complete certification training upon hire.

• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and remain active for the duration of a shift.

• Solid attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining an organized workspace.

• Consistent attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Material Handling & Order Picking

• Operate Equipment: Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other industrial vehicles to move, stack, and stage materials.

• Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload incoming and outgoing freight from trucks and containers.

• Fulfill Orders: Accurately pick, pack, and prepare customer orders using scan guns or pick sheets.

Warehouse & Inventory Management

• Inventory Control: Verify product counts, check labels, and report any discrepancies or damaged goods.

• Keep Organized: Maintain clean, safe, and organized aisles and storage areas to maximize efficiency.

• Data Entry: Assist in tracking inventory movement within the warehouse management system.

Safety & Maintenance

• Daily Inspections: Conduct pre-shift safety checks on equipment and report malfunctions.

• Compliance: Adhere to all OSHA regulations, facility safety protocols, and PPE requirements.

The essential functions of this role include:
