CONTROLS TECHNICIAN
$45/HR
The Controls Technician supports manufacturing operations by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting automated control systems to ensure efficient, safe, and reliable production. This role works with PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, and industrial networks to minimize downtime, support continuous improvement initiatives, and maintain compliance with safety and quality standards.
Required Skills
Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and programming (Allen-Bradley and/or Siemens preferred)
Experience with HMIs, VFDs, servo drives, and industrial sensors
Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (24VDC, 120/480VAC control systems)
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and ladder logic
Knowledge of industrial communication networks (EtherNet/IP, Profinet, Modbus)
Experience supporting automated manufacturing equipment and production lines
Understanding of safety systems and lockout/tagout procedures
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to production downtime
