As a Director of Nursing , you play a direct role in saving the lives of our patients each day by serving our residents in a safe environment promoting long term recovery. You will partner with the Executive Director to establish and maintain a therapeutic environment and routine for our residents.

Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of New Jersey who has at least six months of full-time experience, or the full-time equivalent, in nursing supervision or nursing administration in the management of addictions in a licensed substance use disorder treatment facility
• Prior experience with chemical addiction and /or mental disorders
• Prior knowledge and /or experience with regulations and standards including infection control, quality assurance, and patient care compliance for state licensure.
• Must have one year of supervisory experience or three years of experience in a substance abuse treatment program or facility providing detoxification services or in an opioid treatment program
• Valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Localized travel up to 10% may be required to attend meetings and conferences

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the nursing team, including medication services, admissions, and lab services.
• Develop schedules for nursing team and provide coverage when needed to fill gaps to ensure all shifts are covered within the facility.
• Provide oversight of inventory, ordering, receiving and accountability of medication / inventory control in conjunction with the other pharmacy personnel as required by the DEA (Drug Enforcement Agency) and state regulatory bodies.
• Ensure the Diversion Control Plan is in place and is always enforced within the facility.
• Consult in the development of the policies and procedures for medication administration or assistance with self-administration of medication or both.
• Administer / dispense medication under the direction of the physician.
