Short Description
The unregistered dental assistant supports the provider by preparing patients for treatmentassisting during procedures obtaining radiographic images instrument sterilization and providingoral health education and clinical instruction to patients.
- Obtain radiographic images
- Take and record vital signs
- Assist surgeon during procedures i.e. retract check or tongue
- Isolated the surgical field
- Takes dental photographs with intraoral camera
- Provides oral health education to patients
Experience Required
0-2 years preferred.
Education Requirements
High School/ GED required.
License/Certification Requirements
New Jersey Dental Radiology required.
Basic Life Support Certificate AHA- required.
