**Availability must include Tuesday through Sunday, lunch and dinner shifts**
Job Summary:
The Front Server ensures that guests have an amazing, and memorable, dining experience. Monitors setup, maintenance, cleanliness and safety of dining areas. This individual must be able to complete opening and closing duties prior to opening. This individual must coordinate food service between kitchen and dining staff. The Service Captain enforces restaurant standards.

Service Tasks and Responsibilities
- Anticipate customers' needs and ensure that service exceeds expectations
- Maintain communication with and supports Front of the House Management
- Must exhibit an excellent service attitude and be willing to go out of their way to accommodate customers and exceed their expectations.
- Must be flexible and able to adjust to meet the changing needs of the restaurant
- Must maintain a professional level of communication.
- Must show enthusiasm for the job and for the restaurant
- Must be considerate, patient and willing to help out fellow employees.
- Must have a good self-image and be able to command the respect of the employees.
- Inspect, and correct, dining room, table settings, chairs, floors, proper maintenance
- Check tables throughout service times for guest satisfaction
- Ensure side work is completed every day and dining room supplies are stocked
- Must be able to memorize and repeat daily specials and announcements within a short period of time
- Train new-hires in service standards, menu items, and up-selling
- Lead by example when alternative duties are assigned.
Non-service Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Menu knowledge and beverage knowledge up to date
· Participate in pre-shift meetings
· Pass all necessary quizzes applicable to the job.
· Appearance and hygiene are 100% every shift.
· Integrity, reliability and honesty.
· Adhere to all Health Department standards
· Punctuality for all shifts and meetings
Other Qualifications
- 3-5 years experience in restaurants in a similar role (i.e. Captain, Lead Server, or Fine Dining Server)
- Strong food knowledge, with ability to articulate menu selections while providing a unique dining experience
- Ability to improvise and make impromptu decisions in accordance with the steps of service and the restaurant's standards
- Ability and willingness to work within a team
- Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
Work Environment:
· Ability to regularly reach with hands and arms, climb, balance, stoop, kneel or crawl
· Regularly required to lift and/or move up to 15lbs; frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
· Ability to stand or walk for 6-12 hours at a time
· Ability to balance & carry multiple plates, glass racks and or/glasses
