Reports To: General Manager / Shift Manager

Food Runner –

Maple House is looking for an energetic, dependable Food Runner to join our fast-paced breakfast and lunch team.

The Food Runner is a key link between our kitchen and dining room. This position requires someone who moves quickly, stays organized, communicates well, and takes pride in making sure every plate reaches the correct guest promptly and looking its best.

Responsibilities

• Run food from the kitchen to guest tables quickly and accurately

• Verify table numbers and seat positions before leaving the kitchen

• Check plates for accuracy, presentation, and missing sides or condiments

• Communicate with cooks and servers when an item is missing or incorrect

• Keep the food window/expo area clean and organized

• Prepare and restock condiments, syrups, lemons, small plates, and other service items

• Assist servers and bussers during busy periods

• Help keep service moving during high-volume breakfast and lunch rushes

• Complete opening, restocking, and closing duties

• Maintain a clean and sanitary work area

What We’re Looking For

• Fast-moving and able to work with a sense of urgency

• Dependable and punctual

• Able to stay calm and organized during busy service

• Strong attention to detail

• Team-oriented with good communication skills

• Comfortable being on your feet and moving throughout the shift

• Restaurant experience is helpful, but we are willing to train the right person

Schedule: Breakfast and lunch shifts, including weekends.
