Job Description

The Cleanroom Technician supports the manufacturing of medical devices by cutting, sorting, and cleaning meat products in a controlled cleanroom and cGMP environment. This role involves working with raw meat, operating and maintaining production equipment, performing routine sanitization, and accurately filling and packaging medical devices. The technician follows detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records to ensure product quality, safety, and compliance while performing repetitive, seated work at a workstation.

Responsibilities

  • Cut, sort, and clean meat products while working with raw pig and cow meat in a controlled production environment.
  • Perform repetitive, seated work at a workstation with a focus on accuracy, consistency, and productivity.
  • Carry out routine maintenance and cleaning of production equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.
  • Sanitize cleanrooms and manufacturing areas according to cGMP standards and established procedures.
  • Set up, operate, and calibrate production equipment in accordance with SOPs and batch records.
  • Fill and package medical devices accurately, following all applicable SOPs, batch records, and labeling requirements.
  • Maintain adequate inventory of manufacturing supplies and requisition additional materials as needed to support continuous production.
  • Perform batching, blending, cutting, and measuring activities while adhering to documented procedures and quality standards.
  • Conduct basic inspection and document control tasks, including accurate completion of forms and records.
  • Follow written and oral instructions precisely to ensure compliance with regulatory and internal quality requirements.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate work, report issues, and support a collaborative team environment.
  • Adhere to all cleanroom, cGMP, and safety protocols, including proper use of PPE and hygiene practices.
  • Lift and move materials and supplies, up to 50 pounds, as needed to support production activities.
  • Climb stairs and move throughout the facility as required to perform job duties.
Essential Skills
  • 2+ years of experience in a production environment, preferably in manufacturing or packaging.
  • Experience working in a GMP or cGMP environment with strict process and documentation controls.
  • Cleanroom experience, including adherence to contamination control and hygiene practices.
  • Hands-on experience with production tasks such as batching, blending, cutting, and measuring materials.
  • Background in meat cutting or working with raw meat products.
  • Experience with packaging, document control, labeling, and inspection activities.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch records.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks accurately.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills to follow instructions and complete documentation.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions consistently and reliably.
  • Capability to lift or move items up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, sitting, reaching, and climbing stairs as needed.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience working in a medical device manufacturing or similar regulated environment.
  • Familiarity with inventory management and requisitioning of materials and supplies.
  • Comfort working with raw animal products (pig and cow) in a production setting.
  • Ability to work overtime before or after scheduled shifts based on production needs.
  • Strong teamwork skills and the ability to contribute positively to a collaborative, team-based environment.
  • Comfort performing repetitive tasks while maintaining focus and quality standards.

Work Environment

The role is based in a controlled cleanroom and cGMP manufacturing environment that involves working directly with raw pig and cow meat products. The position follows a first-shift schedule, Monday through Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with overtime before or after the shift as needed based on production demands. The facility requires the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), including a hair net, mask, lab coat, cut-resistant gloves, and shoe coverings, to maintain product safety and cleanliness. The work involves a combination of sitting at a workstation for repetitive tasks and periodically standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, and climbing stairs. Employees use their hands to handle and feel objects, tools, and controls, and must be able to lift or move materials and supplies up to 50 pounds. The environment emphasizes cleanliness, safety, and adherence to documented procedures, with a strong focus on teamwork and communication.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.00/hr.
