Job Title: Assistant Project Manager

Job Description

This role is designed for an Assistant Project Manager aiming to grow into a Project Manager position over the course of a few years.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers with their projects, handling up to 3-8 at a time.
• Learn directly under the Vice President, focusing on project management and drawings.
• Help process Requests for Information (RFI) and Change Orders.
• Manage and interact with subcontractors effectively.
• Learn to prepare takeoffs and estimates.
• Demonstrate a willingness to learn and engage in client-facing activities.
• Maintain strong communication skills.
• Promote a team mentality.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in construction management.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office.
• Ability to successfully complete a two-round interview, with the first round via Teams and the second in-person on-site.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Degree in construction management or an engineering-based field.
• Previous experience and familiarity with construction sites.

Work Environment

This position requires working five days on-site or in the office. The company is family-owned, now in its third generation, fostering an incredible family atmosphere. The office consists of a ambitious team, with employees in their late 20s to early 40s. The work culture is characterized by minimal micromanagement, providing lots of autonomy. Benefits include 2 weeks of paid time off, sick time as needed, and mileage reimbursement. Employees receive a great benefits package and a year-end bonus based on company performance. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Orange, NJ.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $85000.00/hr.
