An established and growing international consumer products manufacturer with a strong global footprint is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Woodbridge-based team. This is a highly visible role offering broad exposure across the accounting function, working closely with leadership in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting candidate with manufacturing experience who is looking to expand their skill set and take on increasing responsibility.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Close & Reporting

• Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes
• Prepare and review journal entries, financial statements, and supporting schedules
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting in accordance with GAAP

Account Reconciliations & Analysis

• Perform and review balance sheet account reconciliations
• Analyze variances and provide actionable insights to management

Fixed Assets & Capital Accounting

• Maintain fixed asset register and oversee capital expenditure tracking
• Record depreciation and ensure compliance with accounting policies

Customer Programs / Rebates Accounting

• Account for customer incentives, rebates, and promotional programs
• Work cross-functionally with sales and operations to ensure accuracy

Banking & Cash Controls

• Monitor cash activity and maintain strong internal controls over banking processes
• Assist with cash forecasting and treasury-related activities

Cost Accounting & Inventory Support

• Support inventory accounting and assist with cost analysis
• Partner with operations on inventory controls and reporting
• (Exposure to cost accounting is highly preferred but not required)

A/P and A/R Oversight & Support

• Provide guidance and support to accounts payable and receivable functions
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of transactions

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• 4+ years of accounting experience within a manufacturing environment (required)
• Exposure to cost accounting or inventory accounting preferred
• Strong understanding of GAAP
• Advanced Excel skills; ERP experience a plus
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and communication skills
