T&M Associates is seeking a seasoned and client focused Civil Engineer for our NJ Community and Land Development (CLD) Market. As a key leader in the CLD Market, you will play a pivotal role in expanding client relationships in the public/government space, impacting growth, managing projects and elevating T&M’s presence in the Northeast region. You’ll collaborate with clients, mentor internal teams, and champion T&M’s full suite of services across sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Project Manager overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle—from opportunity development and proposal preparation to execution, financial management, quality control, and closeout—while ensuring technical excellence, client satisfaction, and identification of future business opportunities.
- Develop and strengthen relationships with new and existing clients by providing strategic guidance and anticipating their evolving needs.
- Represent T&M in the marketplace as a thought leader, building visibility through active engagement in civic, professional, and industry organizations.
- Proactively identify clients’ upcoming needs and concerns, recommending appropriate services and solutions to support their goals.
- Promote T&M’s capabilities across all business sectors, identifying opportunities for cross-selling services.
- Collaborate closely with project teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded throughout the project lifecycle.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to Client Manager staff, supporting their professional development and performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
- New Jersey Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
- Demonstrated success in client relationship management in the civil, public sector.
- Proven leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to inspire and guide a team.
- Highly organized, proactive, and self-driven; able to manage priorities independently and collaboratively.
T&M Associates is committed to pay transparency and equitable compensation practices in compliance with applicable laws, including the New Jersey Equal Pay Act. T&M estimates that the salary range for this position will fall between $130,000-$165,000. The actual salary offered may vary within this range, depending on a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, educational qualifications, specific skills and knowledge, as well as internal pay equity and geographic location.
