Principal UX Designer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a Principal UX Designer in Jersey City, NJ. Duties:

• Translating complex user feedback into comprehensive visions and developing an informed, long-term view of our client's needs
• Generating high level, conceptual designs
• Bringing business ideas to life, through sketching, wireframing, prototyping, testing, writing, and coding
• Validating design visions with our users
• An undergraduate or graduate degree is preferred, but we would also consider people with a certificate in user-experience design; We believe excellent designers can come from many different subject areas
• Demonstrable experience of working with multi-disciplinary teams and managing stakeholders
• Comprehensive design skillset: Experience at both ends of the design spectrum - high-level strategy to crafting visual design details
• A digital portfolio we can review online is required
• A demonstrated ability to design and build digital experiences
• An ability to mentor other designers and work across teams
• You have a powerful impulse to improve existing designs, invent new experiences, and perform better than our competition
• You exhibit a strong build sensibility and can easily transform intricate challenges into concise client solutions
• You show competence and enthusiasm for working in/across teams and can manage stakeholders
• Excellent communication
• You have a broad set of design skills, which might include visual and graphic design, information architecture, prototyping, front-end coding, strategic design methods (such as design thinking), user research, or writing
• You are fluent in UX and other design software: Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, etc.
• You are familiar with design systems and how to use them; Design brings you joy, and it shows
• Experience in financial services is preferred but not required
