ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and assume full responsibility of each guest’s dining experience from start to finish, and multitask between assisting guests, bussing, running, wine service and anything needed to provide memorable and personalized service for our guests
• Anticipate guests’ needs and ensure that service meets/exceeds expectations to ensure a memorable and pleasant dining experience.
• Oversee the floor, ensuring a positive guest experience, and deescalating any situations on the floor as they arise.
• Describe and educate guests confidently on all elements of the menu (food and beverage).
• Fluency of all ingredients and preparations, and the ability to make recommendations according to guest preferences.
• Maintains the high standards of cleanliness and appearance throughout all areas of the restaurant both before, during and after service.
• Support with selection and execution of wine service to enhance the guest experience.
• Open and close the dining room and beverage station as needed

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

• Minimum of 3 years as a Captain in an upscale, high volume restaurant required
• Posses and exhibit a drive to provide exceptional service
• Ability to communicate effectively and eloquently, both verbal and written, collaboration skills with demonstrated high degree of emotional intelligence to manage and lead a diverse team.

• Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed guest's expectations.

COMPENSATION

The base pay range for this position is minimum wage and a tip credit is taken when applicable. The determination of what a specific employee in this job classification is paid depends on a number of factors, including, but not limited to, prior employment history/job-related knowledge, qualifications and skills, etc.
