We are seeking a talented Electrical or Mechanical Engineer / Designer that is ready to take the next step in their career to join our dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform calculations and designs with a high degree of independence.
• Prepare equipment and general area power plans, lighting plans, single line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment control plans & risers.
• Review shop drawings for conformance to plans and specifications.
• Conduct field surveys to identify and document existing power distribution, lighting, and control systems, as required.
• Collaborate with internal project discipline team members, architects, engineers, and external vendors and manufacturers to develop design documents in accordance with local codes and client requirements.
• Review construction documents prepared by architects and consulting engineers based on original design documentation provided, identify and document areas of non-conformance, and then professionally communicate non-conformance issues to internal and external stakeholders for review and comment.
• Communicate both verbally and in written form in a clear and professional manner with engineers, construction managers, equipment suppliers, contractors, and client representatives
• Work with senior staff to develop and continuously improve department design and execution standards

Required Knowledge and Skills

• Strong proficiency with Electrical Engineering principles, practices, process, design/build, and the application to permitting and project work-related issues.
• Strong working knowledge of relevant codes & regulations.
• Experienced with providing critical review of construction documents and preparing technical deliverables
• Ability to interact well with others as well as develop and contribute to high quality technical and professional deliverables on projects.
• Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others, expressing intricate ideas effectively and professionally to an engineering and non-engineering audience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and 5 years of relevant experience required or 10 years of experience without degree required.
• Intermediate to advance proficiency in AutoCAD. Proficiency in Revit is a plus.
• Project experience in Commercial, Hospitality or Retail, Supermarket sector a significant plus.
• Resourceful team player possessing strong planning, organizational, and communication skills.
