Automotive Accounting Clerk – Experienced
We are seeking a diligent, detail-oriented Automotive Accounting Clerk to join our centralized accounting team. This role provides crucial support across our multi-dealership organization, ensuring accurate, timely financial reporting and compliance. Individuals should be experienced in dealership accounting and take pride in precise work.
Responsibilities:
- Daily Operations: Prepare and reconcile bank deposits, post internal entries, and input new vehicle inventory.
- Dealership Support: Collaborate with title clerk to process PA motor vehicle work, MSO's, and dealer trade paperwork.
- Accounts Payable/Receivable: Enter, report, and maintain AP/AR files, reconciling statements and ledgers to ensure accuracy.
- General Ledger & Compliance: Review and reconcile assigned GL accounts, reserve accounts, factory payable, and floor plan payable.
- Schedule Management: Clean assigned schedules weekly to maintain accuracy.
- Month- End Close: Assist in monthly closing procedures as directed, month end close overtime required
- Communication: Work collaboratively with other departments and dealership personnel.
What We're Looking For (Requirements):
- Automotive Experience: Mandatory previous experience in a dealership accounting office (AP, AR, or Title).
- Motor vehicle processing Experience: Familiarity with motor vehicle processing -Pennsylvania DMV/title regulations is a strong plus.
- System Proficiency: Experience with DealerTrack DMS system a plus
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and computer literacy.
- Attention to Detail: Ability to handle high-volume data entry with accuracy and speed.
- Professionalism: Excellent communication skills, reliability, and a collaborative attitude.
