Warehouse Team Leader

Staff Management Group is seeking a Warehouse Team Leader for our client in Somerset, NJ. Please read the ENTIRE job description and ALL of the job requirements BEFORE applying for this position.

Schedule:

• 1st Shift: 6AM - 2:30PM
• Might be required availability during weekends

Pay Rate:

• $23 / hour

Job Summary:

The Warehouse Team Lead is responsible for performing various tasks to support the efficient receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and products within the warehouse. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of forklift operators and warehouse staff.
• Ensure timely and accurate loading, unloading, and movement of warehouse materials using forklift and other equipment.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with cycle count and stock reconciliation.
• Enforce safety protocols and conduct regular equipment inspections.
• Train new team members on forklift operation, warehouse procedures and safety standards.
• Collaborate with logistics, shipping, and receiving teams to optimize workflow.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse area.
• Report performance metrics and operational issues to warehouse management.

Job Requirements:

• Ability to lift to 50lbs and stand/walk for extended periods
• Previous warehouse or logistics experience is a plus.
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in varying temperatures and warehouse conditions
• Must be bilingual (English / Spanish)
