What we are looking for: We are seeking a Business Banker to assist First Atlantic Federal Credit Union to live out our Mission and Vision by working directly with the COO to provide the best value financial services to members by providing outstanding service to both external and internal members in Middlesex and West Monmouth Counties. Job Summary The Business Banker will assist the COO in providing leadership to the bank through efficient daily operations in all areas of banking service. Facilitates customer awareness and education of bank capabilities, tools, and resources. A key component of this service is to identify the financial needs of the member and recommend an appropriate credit union solution, schedules and supervises member service specialists, in daily tasks and operations, assists manager in efforts to reach profit, performance, and member service goals. This position is responsible for acquisition, retention, expansion of new and existing member relationships in a designated market area. Responsible for managing, retaining, and growing an assigned portfolio of business clients with credit account relationships that meet established credit union policies and provides maximum profitability to the credit union with minimum risk. With an emphasis on new deposit and loan acquisitions, resulting in the generation of new business relationships for the credit union. Establishes contact with potential business member prospects to build relationships and explore business services opportunities. Be visible, accessible and build relationships with community businesses while responding to their needs to ensure a positive experience. Drive loan applications from referral partners to FAFCU. A key component of this role is to identify new and emerging opportunities and to promote FAFCU. Qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent math and accounting skills. Excellent personal and professional leadership skills. Understanding of banking regulatory matters and procedures for proper operation. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or similar software programs. Education and/or Experience High school graduate or GED or two - three years' experience Associate degree or bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent banking industry experience.
