In this capacity The Sourcing Specialist performs all sourcing activities in the Inquiry to Order the individual will work with suppliers and internal customers to provide sourced goods and services at the best quality and total cost in support of the activities for the planned research center for client

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Negotiate terms and conditions and transmit information for Procurement.

• Ensure cost and Leadtime accuracy, competitive sourcing scheme and relevant Risk and Opportunity analysis.

• Follow stringent Government procurement process outlined in the standard work procedure.

• Manage and maintain strategic and close relations with suppliers' and subcontractors' along with suppliers' and subcontractors' decision makers and key stakeholders.

• Maintains Smartsheet database of diverse suppliers and conducts frequent audits to ensure accurate diversity classification records.

• Ensure sourcing procedures are followed from identifying supplier base, executing request for quotes, terms negotiations, purchase order creation and management, and accounts payable resolution.

• Negotiating and finalizing contracts with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, pricing, and delivery schedules.

• Proactive supplier management (supplier adds, modifications, etc.) as required.

• Coordinate with Finance for quarter/year end closing activities.

• All other sourcing projects, duties as assigned.

• Strong quantitative and analytical skills.

• Strong PC, database management skills; experience with Oracle Purchasing and Smartsheet's is a plus.

• Sourcing experience in both strategic and procurement functions and well as indirect sourcing

• Excellent communication and networking skills.

he hourly rate for this position is between $41.00 - 46.00 per hour.
