Project Accountant and Invoicing Specialist: Shape the Future of Project Success

Are you a detail-oriented finance professional who thrives on the intersection of project management and technical accounting? Stokes Creative Group is looking for a sharp, collaborative Project Accountant & Invoicing Specialist to join our East Coast team.

In this role, you won’t just be "crunching numbers"—you’ll be the financial heartbeat of our projects. Working directly under the guidance of our President, you will ensure project integrity from kickoff to final billing, serving as a vital bridge between our Account Managers and our financial goals.

• Financial Integrity: Take ownership of the month-end close and ensure project accounts are finalized with precision.

• Costing Strategy: Utilize costing systems to monitor expenses, manage accruals, and investigate variances to ensure every dollar is accounted for.

• Collaborative Billing: Partner with Account Executives to translate project milestones into accurate, professional client invoices.

• Process Excellence: Identify gaps in automation and develop robust manual controls to maintain high-standard documentation.

• Strategic Support: Assist our Cost Accounting Manager with quarterly and annual sales budget analysis.

We are looking for a professional who balances technical "GAAP" expertise with the interpersonal skills needed to support a fast-paced creative team.

• The Essentials: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting and a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.

• The Expertise: Cost-Plus experience is a must. You understand the nuances of cost accumulation and revenue recognition.

• The Toolkit: Mastery of Microsoft Office is required; if you know QuickBooks , that’s a major plus.

• The Mindset: Critical thinking and independent reasoning. You don’t just spot an error; you find the root cause and the solution.

• The Communication: The ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-accounting team members.
