Position Summary
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Human Resources Manager to join our team and oversee all human resources operations in our skilled nursing facility. This position plays a key role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting employees, and fostering a positive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with all HR policies, procedures, and applicable laws and regulations.
Manage full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, orientation, and offboarding processes.
Maintain accurate personnel records and ensure timely HRIS and payroll updates.
Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, 401(k), life insurance, and paid time off.
Coordinate employee training programs, performance reviews, and employee relations initiatives.
Provide guidance and support on employee issues, grievances, and disciplinary procedures.
Oversee workers' compensation, FMLA/NJFLI, COBRA processes, and unemployment claims.
Participate in committees including Safety, Quality Assurance, and Compliance.
Serve as the main point of contact for HR inquiries from staff and department heads.
Process and verify employee payroll, including reviewing and correcting timecards, missed punches, and related payroll documentation.
Qualifications
Education: Associate's or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in a Human Resources role; experience in a nursing home or long-term care (LTC) setting preferred.
Certifications: HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) is a plus but not required.
Strong understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with HRIS systems, payroll platforms, and Microsoft Office Suite.
