Concierges Wanted for Brand New, Class 'A' Luxury Residential Building (Newark, NJ)
An amenity-rich, class 'A' luxury residential building in an historic district of Newark is scheduled to open in the spring of '23. Management seeks to fill all service staff positions, including handymen, janitors, porters, and concierges. Strong customer service and teamwork orientations are a must. The Concierge Team works in agreement with the Management and Maintenance Teams to deliver a best- in-class customer service experience to the residents. A concierge's primary responsibility is the routine security of the building, its residents, and their data. As the face of the building, concierges perform their jobs with the utmost courtesy and respect.
Responsibilities:
1. Welcome, identify, screen, and orientate all guests (including service and delivery persons) to their appropriate destination.
2. Monitor the lobby security camera displays and respond to any situation appropriately.
3. Prevent any unauthorized guests from getting past the lobby.
4. Prevent any unauthorized guests from loitering in the building.
5. Prevent service technicians from by-passing the service entrance.
6. Respond to any urgent matters by contacting the appropriate Management team member.
7. Appropriately identify any emergency situations and, if necessary, contact first responders (Police, Fire, EMS).
8. Engage in efficient communication with the Management and Service Teams via radio or telephone.
9. Update the community management portal as needed.
10. Update the concierges' shift log with any emergency or unusual incidents.
11. Take in packages and deliveries, maintain their log, and follow up with the appropriate residents.
12. Maintain a clean workstation and, when necessary, assist in cleaning up any hazardous spills.
13. Any additional responsibilities as may be required by management.
Qualifications:
14. Excellent telephone, radio, and internet communication abilities.
15. Two years' experience in front office operations in the real estate, hospitality, or security industries, or an associate's degree in such.
16. An alert and welcoming personality.
17. Proficient in Spanish
Preferred Qualifications:
18. One year of experience working with residential community management software (such as BuildingLink, ButterflyMX, Entrata, RentCafe, Etc.) or hotel management software.
