Commercial HVAC Field Diagnostics Technician

A day in the life

You start your morning at our single New Jersey office, review your scheduled calls, load up your company truck, and head to sites across Northern and Central Jersey. One stop has you diagnosing an air handler; the next has you restoring performance on a cooling tower. After lunch, you’re troubleshooting a commercial forced-air heating and AC system, then bringing a boiler back online and verifying combustion and controls. Throughout the day, you communicate clearly with facility managers, document findings, and leave equipment operating at peak efficiency.

What you’ll tackle

• Independently respond to commercial, public, and industrial service calls.
• Diagnose and repair air handlers, cooling towers, and commercial forced-air heating & AC systems.
• Service boilers and heating systems with confidence and care.
• Perform electrical troubleshooting safely and accurately.
• Deliver clear, professional communication and excellent customer service.

What you bring

• 5+ years of hands-on HVAC service experience in commercial environments.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting ability.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Compensation & benefits

Job Type: Full-time | Salary: $70,000 – $100,000 per year

Compensation: Full-time hourly. Private-work rate based on experience, with New Jersey prevailing wage rates applied to public work. Performance bonus eligibility.

Schedule & territory

• 8-hour shift
