POSITION OVERVIEW & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This position will be responsible for Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions as follows:

Accounts Payable:

- Processing vendor invoices and disbursements, including assembling checks and documents for mailing.

- Processing payments through Yardi/Paymode-X and MRI/AvidXchange

- Reconciling statements from vendors and ensuring that all payables are accurate and current.

- Monitoring invoice workflow and ensuring that open invoices are downloaded and paid timely.

- Processing 1099 forms for all relevant vendors, including obtaining W9’s from vendors.

- Assisting with monthly, quarterly and year-end closing processes for Accounts Payable.

- Scanning vendor invoices and other critical accounting documents as needed.

- Working with Accountants/Property Management Team to ensure Construction/Project invoices have proper backup (AIAs, lien waivers, change orders).

- Reviewing AP distributions to determine if any invoices are missing (i.e.: utilities, monthly contract services)

- Setting up online accounts for utilities and maintaining updated listing of all accounts, usernames and passwords (to be provided to Property Management team for utility benchmarking).

- Responding to vendor requests for updates regarding payment status.

Accounts Receivable:

- Reviewing daily banking activity for incoming receipts.

- Processing and posting cash receipts (tenant and non-tenant deposits).

- Processing tenant direct billings and preparing batches for approval.

Additional special projects as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

- Bachelor’s degree (B.A. or B. S.) in Accounting from a four-year college or university is preferred; two to three years related experience and/or training required.

- Knowledge of MRI and Yardi Accounting software, AvidXchange, Adobe and Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.

- Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public.

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.

Compensation and Benefits

- Base salary $60,000 to $70,000 per year

- Eligible for annual bonus

- Eligible for Medical/Dental/Vision on of hire, FSA/HSA Plans, Life Insurance, AD&D, and Short-Term Disability coverage.
