Position Summary:

Phlebotomist Collects and processes blood specimens for testing in the laboratory.

• Labels processes and delivers specimens for testing.

• Collects blood specimens using age-appropriate techniques.

• Maintains equipment and medical supplies.

• Assists with coordinating and conducting blood drives including interviewing and screening donors.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent Preferred;

• An approved nationally accredited training course in Phlebotomy Preferred

• Certification from ASCP or NHA Preferred

• Basic Life Support (BLS) to be obtained within 30 days of hire

• Experience Formal Phlebotomy training Preferred

• Requires critical thinking skills decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
