Claims Representative
- Investigate claims to determine coverage, loss, and liability.
- Interact with customers, insurance agents, police, attorneys, and other personnel involved in the claims process.
- Oversee legal and medical aspects of claims.
- Document claim activities accurately and in a timely manner.
- Resolve claim issues promptly and follow up on outstanding matters.
- Communicate claim status to supervisors and customers regularly.
- Collaborate with outside agents for claim investigations when necessary.
- Contact carriers to expedite claim settlements and provide updates.
- Notify management and agency staff of significant claims or reserves pending for clients.
- Maintain and record loss history, including payments and claim closures, in the agency management system.
- Assist clients and claim adjusters with scheduling appointments to review losses.
- Build strong working relationships with carriers’ claims representatives and managers.
- Document all client and carrier communications in the agency management system.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

- Thorough technical understanding of commercial insurance coverages and claim procedures.
- Valid Property & Casualty (P&C) license for commercial lines of insurance.
- Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a commercial claims representative or in commercial lines at an insurance agency or carrier.

- Auto
- General Liability
- Property
- Management Liability
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Experience with Agency Management Software; AMS360 experience is preferred.
