The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience.

Job Overview:

The position plans and implements therapy treatments in coordination with the multi-disciplinary team.

Qualifications:

• Must meet basic professional entry-level educational requirements from an accredited physical therapy program
• Current New Jersey State licensed as a Physical Therapist required.
• 1 year acute care/hospital-based experience preferred
• Practices Universal Precautions
• Must meet requirements of the ADA
• BLS certified

Scheduling Requirements:

• Day Shift
• Per Diem scheduling

Essential Functions:

• Completes a comprehensive evaluation of all assigned patients,
• Utilizes clinical reasoning to establish an appropriate plan of care and goals that are focused on the facilitation of hospital throughput,
• Collaborates with multi-disciplinary team to provide comprehensive services to meet individual needs,
• Participates in the student PT program as assigned,
• Evaluates and treats patients with muscular skeletal neurological and cardiovascular deficits,
• Makes referral recommendations for additional patient care services as required,
• Engages in medical record and billing practices that are consistent with justification for the need for skilled PT services in the acute hospital setting,
• Works with the referring physician for individual patient needs,
• Performs other duties as assigned,
