Summary
This position works closely with the Business Development & Marketing Department team members to coordinate and execute all related activities that support attorney's business development, marketing, and client service initiatives. The Digital Marketing Assistant will support all digital aspects of marketing and business development, help oversee and maintain the marketing database and marketing materials, support photo and video shoots, coordinate firm social media accounts, and oversee firm newsletters and electronic communications. We are looking for candidates with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, English, or related field and have a minimum of one to three years of experience, preferably in a law firm or other professional services environment.
Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years' experience in a law firm environment and possess excellent attention to detail, grammar, and proofreading skills.
Essential Functions
- Develop and execute all firm digital marketing campaigns, including legal alerts, event invitations/follow-up, and newsletters. This includes HTML set-up, decision tree mapping, testing, distribution, tracking, and reporting.
- Monitor and report on key metrics measuring the effectiveness of the firm's digital campaigns, understand how they factor into the department and practice group targets, and provide guidance on future campaigns based on these metrics.
- Provide digital content guidance, including recommendations on layout, format, headlines, summary language, and best times to send.
- Develop a system to track and report on engagement scoring leads, follow-up, and any resulting ROI.
- Assist team members in building and updating target lists, mailing lists, creating new lists, and generating reports as needed.
- Assist in adding new contact information and additions to the CRM system based on marketing automation form submissions; ensure that data is accurate and current.
- Coordinate content management updates for the firm's website and alumni web portal.
- Support the firm's social media and digital presence and report on engagement analytics.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot firm email signatures and digital business card systems.
- Create First Friday.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Excellent writing and editing skills with minimal need for revision.
- Strong attention to detail in overall work product.
- Capacity to prioritize a complex workload, work independently, and complete tasks under time pressure.
- Strong computer skills including knowledge of MS Office, SharePoint, InDesign, Photoshop, Campaign Monitor, CRM systems, and related resources.
- Aptitude to take initiative and ownership of projects, using free time to audit, evaluate and suggest additions, edits, and improvements to current systems.
- Ability to exercise good judgment regarding access to sensitive and confidential information.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships and act as a team player throughout the firm, with clients, and vendors.
- Curious and resourceful personality combined with perseverance, patience and a desire to deliver accurate, high-value products.
- Willingness to meet the requirements of the position, accepting a wide variety of assignments as called upon.
- Understanding of the law firm business model, the services provided by a major corporate law firm, and the needs and expectations of law firm clients.

Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment with some ability to work from home. This role routinely uses standard office equipment. Because this position will be handling client information, employees must work from a home office and not a public location during any remote periods.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time, benefit eligible position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some flexibility in start and end times and a minimum of 3 days in the office per week.
Occasional overtime is required. Early morning, evening, and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Required Education and Experience
High school degree or equivalent and relevant work experience
Preferred Education and Experience
BA/BS degree, with a preference for a degree in marketing, communications, or English, in addition to a minimum of two to three years of marketing/business development experience is ideal.
Experience in a law firm or other professional services environment.
